If you’re considering dropshipping as a new venture, doing some groundwork first is essential.
One of the cornerstones of your dropshipping business will be the quality of your suppliers - which is where working with a trusty dropshipping supplier platform comes in handy.
Fortunately, there are tons to choose from. However, this can make pinpointing the right option for your brand tricky. So, to help cut through the noise, we're comparing two industry leaders: Spocket and DSers

There's lots to sink our teeth into, so let's get straight into it:
DSers launched in 2018 and bills itself as the “AliExpress official eCommerce solution,” which is apt considering the platform is actually owned by China-based AliExpress.
So, if you haven’t guessed already, DSers is a solution for entrepreneurs looking to source dropshipping products from online retail giant AliExpress. In fact, Dsers’s website states that because it has AliExpress’s “official API authorization,” it can reduce ordering time by up to 97%!
For those unfamiliar with AliExpress, its millions of products are organized into a selection of categories, including consumer electronics, clothing, bags and shoes, home, pet, and appliances, and many more.
Products can either be shipped from China or from AliExpress warehouses in the US, EU, or China. It’s also worth noting that DSers integrates with popular eCommerce platforms like Shopify, Wix, and WooCommerce.
However, it only has a Trustpilot rating of 3.2 out of 5 stars from 12 reviewers.
Lastly, DSers also has a selection of partner apps that support its users in their dropshipping ventures. However, these come at an additional cost and fall outside the scope of today's blog post. That said, we wanted to quickly highlight their existence!
Spocket is a Canadian company that’s also been around since 2018. But, unlike DSers, Spocket predominantly provides access to EU and US-based suppliers (of which there are thousands, and all are heavily vetted before accessing Spocket’s network).
Spocket’s product catalog is divided into various categories, including clothing, jewelry, tech accessories, baby items, sports and outdoors, and many more.
However, suppose you wish to expand your reach further afield. In that case, Spocket also works seamlessly with AliExpress, allowing you to access millions of other products from China and other parts of the world.
Spocket also integrates with popular eCommerce platforms and online marketplaces, including Wix, Shopify, WooCommerce, and Amazon.
It’s also worth noting that at the time of writing, Spocket boasts 3,381 reviews on Trustpilot, gaining an impressive 4.7 out of 5-star rating.
You can browse products via the AliExpress website or app without commitment.
As mentioned above, AiExpress’s products are organized into many categories. Once you’ve selected the product category and sub-category you’re interested in, to the left of the page, you can filter products for:

Click on individual products to see their price, shipping options, product images and sizes, and shipping prices and times. You can also see the percentage of positive feedback the product’s supplier has.
For Spocket users, it’s free to sign up and browse its extensive product catalog.
Once you’ve created an account, you’re taken to your Spocket dashboard. Straight away, you’ll see product categories to explore, including apparel, toys, sports and outdoors, seasonal products, bags, home, and many more.

You can import products from AliExpress with just a click using the DSers Chrome Extension. This ensures an “Add to DSers” button appears when browsing AliExpress products. When you click this button, the product is added to your ‘import list.’
You can access your import list from within your DSers dashboard. Here, you can manage, edit, tag, group, and organize products conveniently from one centralized place.
Then, when you’re ready, you can import these products to one or multiple stores in one go.
Spocket makes importing products to your online store simple; everything is managed from your Spocket dashboard.
Simply find products you like. Then, on the individual product page, click the “add to import list” button.
Once you’ve finished compiling the products you want to add to your store, click ‘import list’ on the left-hand menu.

As mentioned throughout this comparison review, DSers is owned by AliExpress, a China-based company. As such, that’s where the majority of its suppliers are based.
That said, AliExpress also has warehouses in other parts of the world to help speed up otherwise lengthy shipping times - for instance, the US, the UK, Europe, and Turkey.

The way Spocket partners with its suppliers is very different for DSers.
Firstly, as we’ve already mentioned, most of its suppliers are based in the US and EU, and all suppliers on Spocket’s network are stringently vetted.
When sourcing supplier information, there’s a supplier filter option when searching for products. Alternatively, each product page carries details about the supplier - for instance, their name and the country they’re based in. Click on the supplier’s name to be taken to their page. When looking for a dropshipping app to work with, it has to integrate seamlessly with your chosen eCommerce platform. So, let’s see what DSers and Spocket offer in this regard:
