Handmade fairly traded paper star lantern. Flatpacked. Simply open and tie over a lightbulb or LED light. Perfect for home décor, parties and celebrations.

This is an decorative lampshade with a rich violet background and golden yellow screenprinted detail. Tissue paper inserts create an atmospheric glow. Intricately screen printed by hand using natural pigments and traditional over-layering techniques, each of its 5 points is punctuated with tiny pinpoints of white tissue to add a delicate touch - and minute perforations create a striking glimmer.

Great as a nightlight it's also perfect for parties, celebrations and wedding decor.

Our Starlights arrive flatpacked – simply fold open each point consecutively and tie over a lightbulb or LED. See your flatpacked star transformed into a beautiful 3-dimensional source of light. 

Our stars measure 60 cm from point to point when opened and come with full instructions. They are recommended for use with LED bulbs up to 7 watts, or low energy lightbulbs up to 16 watts - bulbs and fittings are not included with your star. They look fantastic with LED “fairy“ or “string” lights – just make sure they conform to the appropriate standards and that the bulb doesn’t touch any part of the star. The actual bulb wattage shouldn’t exceed 40 watts. Can be used indoors and in sheltered outdoor spaces. All stars conform to British Standards.
