Comfort and Fit

Each Expedition Face Mask features four pleats on each side, allowing for ultimate fit and comfort. The addition of a nose pleat provides extra room, accommodating various face shapes and sizes. This mask is designed to be one size fits most, making it suitable for tweens to adults. If you have a larger face, we recommend checking out our Classic Large mask, which is designed to be beard-friendly and provide a comfortable fit for bigger individuals.

For younger children, the mask can be adjusted by adding a ribbon or string through the ear loops, ensuring a secure fit. However, we advise consulting with a healthcare professional before using masks on children to ensure safety and proper usage.

Features and Benefits

The Expedition Face Mask comes with a pocket opening that allows you to add a filter for enhanced protection. While filters are not included, you can use various materials such as PM2.5 filters, disposable HEPA filters, or even coffee filters to increase the mask's effectiveness. Remember to change filters between uses for optimal safety.

In terms of care, the mask is machine washable, and we recommend washing it in warm or hot water before the first use. To maintain its shape and size, it is best to tumble dry on low or line dry after washing. The fabric has been pre-washed to minimize shrinkage, but as it is primarily cotton, some shrinkage may still occur.

Health and Safety

Developed in partnership with physician consultant Dr. Jordan Lee Tate, MD, MPH, the Expedition Face Mask serves as a protective cover for N95 masks. While it functions as a physical barrier, it is important to note that this mask is not a substitute for N95 or surgical masks and is not FDA approved. When used correctly, it can help reduce person-to-person droplet transmission.

Returns and Shipping

As a personal use item, the Expedition Face Mask cannot be returned unless unopened. We recommend trying one mask first to ensure a proper fit before opening additional masks. Please be aware that quantities of each print are limited, and once sold out, they may not be restocked. Variations may occur within each print, and we do not guarantee that products will match photos exactly.

Due to ongoing shipping delays, please allow extra time for your order to arrive. While we typically ship within 3-5 days, some packages may take up to a month to reach you. We will provide a tracking number and deliver your package to UPS within two business days, but the duration of transit is beyond our control.
