While the mask itself is effective, adding a filter can significantly increase its protective capabilities. You can use various filter options, including additional fabric layers, PM2.5 filters, disposable HEPA filters, coffee filters, and vacuum filters. Remember to change filters between each use for optimal safety.

For those who may have concerns about fit, the Waves Face Mask is designed to work well for most individuals. However, if you are a larger individual, you may find the regular size a bit snug. In such cases, we recommend our Classic Large mask, which is designed to accommodate larger faces and is beard-friendly.

Care Instructions

To maintain the quality and hygiene of your Waves Face Mask, it is essential to follow the care instructions. Wash the mask in warm or hot water before using it for the first time. It is recommended to wash the mask after every use to ensure it remains clean and safe. The fabric has been pre-washed to maintain its shape and size, but since it is 97% cotton, it may still shrink if dried in the dryer. For best results, tumble dry on low or line dry.

It is important to note that this mask was developed in partnership with physician consultant Dr. Jordan Lee Tate, MD, MPH. While it serves as a protective cover for N95 masks, it is not a substitute for N95 or surgical masks and is not FDA approved. When used correctly, the Waves Face Mask can help reduce person-to-person droplet transmission.

Returns and Shipping Information

As a personal use item, the Waves Face Mask cannot be returned unless it is unopened. If you order multiple masks, we recommend opening one to ensure it fits properly, so you remain eligible for a return if needed. Please be aware that quantities of each print are limited, and once a print is sold out, it may not be restocked. Variations may occur within each print, and we do not guarantee that products will match photos exactly.

Due to recent circumstances, we have been experiencing extreme delays with some packages. What would typically ship within a 3-5 day turnaround may take up to a month. We will issue a tracking number and deliver the package to UPS within 2 business days, but the duration of the package in transit is beyond our control.
